A brand new start.

Hi my dear blog friends! Well, after lots of thinking, planning and thinking again, I've decided to set this little french bird free and have a brand new start. During this time of silence, many things have happened that brought me to a new place in life. New mindset, lots of heart healing, joy restored and uplifting hope. For this reason, and in honor to this new season, I've decided to start a new journey (and every new journey deserves a new journal, right? ;)

I just started a brand new blog named: Love Bound. (www.iamlovebound.blogspot.com). Feel free to stop by and say hey, I'll absolutely love to hear from you and reconnect after such a long time!

Thank you for joining me during this time, for the sweet kind words, encouragement and just pure good love. I'm telling ya, a little love poured out works wonders!

Love you guys! Hope you're all doing well! Can't wait to reconnect :)

Back on track.

Hello world. How's it going? All good around here. We're settling in our new house, we love the extra room, the neighborhood, the ice cream truck and our family walks on beautiful breezy evenings. Josiah and Abi Liv have been growing tremendously fast. I wish I could stop time and have them be my eternal 3 and 1 year old... I really do wish that at times. Last week, Josiah started his soccer classes once a week, and his games will be on weekends. His first practice was beyond excellent. He loved it and had a blast. Today, the day that all the family came to watch him play, he refused to go in the field. Oh.Man. It was almost funny to see that happen. In his defense, he had a fever for 3 days this week, so the little dude was probably not feeling like doing cartwheels or running for an entire hour in a very hot and muggy Carolina evening. Bless his heart. He's a little star anyways, and he always manages to make us laugh. Love him to pieces. On a different note, mom is here. She's staying till Christmas. I'm being spoiled rotten and gaining weight by the minute, her food constantly brings me back to my life in Argentina, so there's no way I'm refusing any of it. Any. At all. I just finished a sewing class. I also just started studying to get my certification in medical interpretation (holy cow, holy cow). I get these 2-second freak out moments from time to time. My brain hasn't been in intense action for a while now, lol, so it's kinda scary but it will be alright. That was my life in a nutshell right there. Now I can't wait to catch up with what's going on with you guys. xoxo

A new home

Here I am. Sitting at our couch in our new place. It's almost impossible to describe all the feelings and the emotional roller coaster we've been through in these past couple of weeks. In a matter of 2 weeks, we went from: "yeah, we should probably start looking into moving (to rent), we need one more room" kinda talk, to "BAM, we're home owners, here's your HOA number." All of a sudden, we went from the countryside to a neighborhood. From having cows and horses in the backyard to having the ice-cream truck driving by almost every other day. From 20 min. drives to the nearest Walmart to "Oh, we ran out of milk? I'll run to the Food Lion"(which is literally around the corner from our house!). It has been a big change for sure.

Josiah and Bella (our sweet neighbor), hanging out for the last time before move day..

It was hard to leave our old rental house. It felt ours. A lot of meaningful things happened there. That's where both our kids learned how to walk. Both of them loved to stare out the window and talk to the cows. That was Abi's first home. That's the house that received my mom for her very first time in the United States. That's where my mom and Josiah would play soccer together until the sunset. Our kids' birthday parties. Lots of firsts to remember, lots of good stuff, great memories. AMAZING neighbors. I even cried one night just thinking about our neighbors!. But here we are. Living in OUR place now. All the boxes are gone (except for the office, cough cough), our furniture is in. The kids transitioned fantastically. Josiah was just so excited! (We have stairs now, so you can imagine! It's like an amusement park for a 3 year old boy!).  I already painted the house 25 different colors in my mind!.  It feels good. It's ours.

Thanks for your patience in my MIA episodes! I missed blogging so much! I'll keep sharing more about our new place in the posts to come. I hope you have an amazing week!

Moving

I still can't believe I'm writing this, but we bought a house!. Everything happened so quickly and it was a big miracle all around. So, needless to say, the packing adventure began today. I got a bit overwhelmed at first, but made the conscious decision to not stress (or at least try not to) and enjoy the process. Did we get far? hmmm.. nope. Did we have fun? TONS!. I snapped some pics to share with you. It will be a busy couple of weeks, but I'll do my best to keep you posted on how things are going. Have a sweet weekend!

Dear blog,

Source: Uploaded by user via Devin on Pinterest

I'm so sorry I haven't been taking good care of you. So many times I tried to come visit real quick, but you know, we have two little ones that keep us really busy and all the routine can sometimes be a bit overwhelming. Family and home are always a priority, and I know you completely agree with that. I really appreciate your patience. You're still here, and I can just drop by and say hey, knowing that you're a welcoming little corner where I can just be me. I'll do my best to do a much better job at dropping by more often and update you on all the cool new stuff that has been happening lately. Just know, I always think of you and I'm so thankful to have you. You're a breath of fresh air and a pop of color in my life.

XOXOXO

Show and Tell: a Tuesdays link up

This week, we're starting a brand new link up party called "Show and Tell." There are two things I LOVE about this idea: Getting to share this little blog with other blogger friends (I'll always have guest posts here) and learning more about them, their life, the things they cherish and love most. More than just getting to know more people, I always enjoy developing deeper friendships. So, I'm extremely excited to learn more about my friends' hearts.

Today, I have the pleasure to have Gina from Contemplating Beauty here with us! Gina, you're a wonderful writer with a beautiful heart. Thank you for sharing with us!

...

Hi everyone! I am Gina and I blog over at Contemplating Beauty, and I couldn't be more excited and humbled that Pamela asked me to guest post today! I blog about anything from my family, my pooch and my faith in God. I discovered that I love to blog because I enjoy sharing my life and experiences with people, and the more I thought about it, I realized that that's because it involves sharing, and connecting with others, so when Pamela asked me to do a post for her Show And Tell, it was the perfect fit! When I'm not blogging you can find me reading, writing, at a flea market, or attending one of the many activities my daughter is in.

What I'd like to share with you today for Show And Tell is this super cool vase my daughter brought home from school that she made. She was in a Ceramics Class last Semester and she rocked it! I was so surprised each week when she'd bring something new home and how good it actually was (even if it wasn't I'd love it just the same)! She picked up ceramics and the wheel so well, that some of her work was on display at school in the showcase for months! I think as parents we always enjoyed receiving homemade goodies from our kids. I for one have always been a fan of it, and that is the reason I was so excited to share this with you today!  My daughter's name is Madelynn and she is 17 years old, and I just cherish anything she makes me. She ended up making me 2 coffee cups, 3 bowls, a pitcher, a plate and this vase. Even the color is perfect! It's special to me because she was thoughtful in her creative process, thinking of me along the way and here's how.Turquoise is one of my favorite colors and she knows I love flowers, so it means a lot to me that she thought of me this way. This little vase and all the other items she made I will cherish forever and they make excellent new additions to our home!

Thanks a bunch Pamela for having me today--it's been a blast, I hope to see you around Contemplating Beauty!

Ciao!

Dear Abi Liv...

I can't believe it was March last year that I held you for the very first time. I could feel your tiny little body in my chest. Warm and cozy we were. It took us a little bit to be together because you were born with your umbilical cord wrapped around your neck, twice. It was scary. The doctors worked really hard to make you breathe. They almost took you away to a different room, but thank God and an amazing team, they were able to stabilize you and bring you to my arms.
If I could describe you in one word, it would definitely be JOY. You literally make us smile every single time we look at you. Your birth brought a gush of pure, deep, abundant joy to this family. This is your birthday month, so I'll leave you tiny notes here and there...

I love you with every single inch of my heart. My sweetness, my joy, my sunshine, my best friend, my princess, my baby girl.
